[red]This issue has nothing to do with the current connection issues.[/red]We have made a change to our systems to attempt to address this issue. If this issue is still occuring for you after 12:15am Pacific (15 minutes from now), please post so that we can confirm whether or not our changes had an impact on the situation. If you are still experiencing this, please post: 1) Your version of Internet Explorer (click on Help -> About Internet Explorer) 2) Your operating system (e.g. Windows XP Home, Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista, etc) 3) The exact pages that you go to and links that you click on which results in you being redirected back to the home page (please post the URLs) 4) Immediately after you have an issue where a page redirects you, please click on "Start" -> "Run" and type "cmd". Then type "ping DOMAIN" where DOMAIN is the domain for your forum. For example, the domain for this forum is "http://support.proboards.com" so I would type "ping http://support.proboards.com" It will then say something like: "Pinging support.proboards.com [67.15.181.2] with 32 bytes of data:" --- Please just copy/paste that line into your post so that we can see which server IP you are connected to. 5) Is there anything in particular you notice? How far along does the page load before it redirects you back to the home page? Any other details? These are the boards where I have experienced this problem: pwtorchforum.proboards54.com/index.cgiNOTE: They are not my boards, I am just a member. Another note: Sometimes, during the night time (I'm from India, which would mean it would be morning in the U.S.) the boards don't load at all. I use Firefox and I keep getting a "Connection to server was interrupted" error and no matter how many times I click on "Try again" I keep getting the same error. I thought this was related to the Hurricane so didn't think much about it. Sometimes I have to wait an hour before the boards start loading again. And this problem started like 3 or 4 nights ago. The redirection problem, I mean. And, like I said earlier, it always happens after I go through that "Connection to server was interrupted" error. 1. Mozilla Firefox version 3.0.3 2. Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 3. pwtorchforum.proboards54.com/index.cgi Same page; I never log out of those boards, always stay logged in. So, instead of using the refresh button I simply click on the link at the top of those boards for "home" But it just happened again. I was redirected to the home page. I was viewing a thread: pwtorchforum.proboards54.com/index.cgi?board=wwe&action=display&thread=2111 and then I clicked on the "pwtorch forum" link on top of the thread. And I was redirected. 4. After I was just redirected, I did the "ping" thing. Here's what I got: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\Maaz1>ping pwtorch.proboards54.com
Pinging pwtorch.proboards54.com [69.93.2.53] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 69.93.2.53: bytes=32 time=279ms TTL=46 Reply from 69.93.2.53: bytes=32 time=282ms TTL=46 Reply from 69.93.2.53: bytes=32 time=284ms TTL=46 Reply from 69.93.2.53: bytes=32 time=280ms TTL=46
Ping statistics for 69.93.2.53: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 279ms, Maximum = 284ms, Average = 281ms
C:\Documents and Settings\Maaz1> 5. Oh, and the page takes the normal amount of time to load.. i.e. usually a few seconds.. (I'm on a 256 kbps connection) Also, I've attached the, uh, text file. The source file of that link that redirected me the last time. I'm not the only one who has had this problem on these boards, I know for certain that a couple of days ago, another member was facing the same problem.

Using the latest version of Firefox here, Windows XP Home, and the redirect to the ProBoards main page is happening randomly for me as well, on this board: diaperdivas.proboards57.comI'll try to follow the rest on the instructions in your first post, but as this is happening totally at random for me, it might take a bit. Seems to happen most often when I click on the private messages, but has happened just clicking on "post" or on random threads. Others on the board are reporting the same problem.

1) Version 7 2) Dell 3) I'm not sure if this is the same problem as what you guys are having, but when I click certain links it directs me here. The links seem to be random, mostly when I click on admin pages. 4) I didn't do this right, or understand it, or my computer is just messed up. o.o 5) Well, this isn't directing me to my proboards homepage, just the main proboards homepage, like I said. I'm not sure if that's the problem everyone is talking about, or if I have a different problem. xD Sorry I'm so slow today. Anyways, here is my site: willowislands.proboards57.com/Tell me if I wasn't supposted to post the 5 things above, or if I'm in the wrong place. Thanks!

I should have mentioned that the random redirect is to either the homepage of the forum, or the homepage of Proboards Support. There's absolutely no pattern, and it's doing my head in. First the connection problems, now this

Again, I'm using the latest version of Firefox, WindowsXP Home, and this is for the board diaperdivas.proboards57.comThis is the ping info after clicking on a private message, which redirected me to the PB main page: Pinging diaperdivas.proboards57.com [69.93.2.53] with 32 bytes of data.
