Wonder what the target of the attacks was, doubt it was this forum, but someone must have been banned from a forum and they have placed this attack in revenge or something.
Glad to see most forums now back up and running, what server is the forum that was the target on Patrick?
Ta, Sam

If your able to at least get into your headers and footers like I am, then I suggest backing your headers/footers up. This is unnecessary. A denial of service attack clogs up access with constant attempts at connection or pings etc, its not actually an attempt to destroy data. But it helps to know that I've at least backed up anything I can incase the forums go down. It makes me think that I've done my part in making my data safe incase the worse happens. Better to be safe than sorry but it's my own personal opinion on backing data up as I know what a pain it can be when you lose a server and whatever was on it. Looks like we're progressing on the servers.

We have identified the forum that is the target of this attack. We are continuing to work to minimize the impact of this attack on our services. Oh that means that a forum specifically si beig attacked? Why? Which? Who? It's awful wow someone was attacking a forum? that is quite OTT of them to do, dont you think? attacking 1 forum and look at the damage it is doing for everyone else trying to fix these problems

you should generally keep a backup of your headers anyway just in case you accidentally delete them
