A DDoS attack big enough to take out PB is probably more than just one person

for the people saying their server shows as online on the server status page - the new server setup works differently to how it used to, so one server being online isn't a guarantee you'll be able to access your board now.

but that page does look pretty with all the different coluors on it ;d

Servers on the server status page that appear to be online but aren't is, in my mind, likely due to the refresh rate of that page and the over-taxing of the servers themselves. Plainly put, if it looks to be online and it isn't, then it obviously isn't, and you should go occupy yourself with more fruitful endeavours than stating the obvious ^_~

I wish, instead however, to extend my gratitude to the proboards staff for dealing with this enormous pain in the rear on behalf of we, who use this often free service. I'm sure there are plenty of things they would rather be doing.

My 3 forums I can see to start with if I use Netscape, but after a few seconds they go back to being unuseable Whoever's behind this DDOS attack is one hell of a loser

I have many of my member's email address and sent them a note explaining what is going on. I feel better and am not anxious about this because I am not worried that they are worrying.

that's correct, this forum is hosted seperately to the other board, so that it's accessible even if other servers are offline, kind of like now.

Based on the server status page it looks like most all servers are back online with about half showing busy. Major improvement from 10 minutes ago when only 16 servers were online. Great job guys!
