How To Advertise Your ProBoard

I would like to know something. I haven't read every single post here so sorry if I missed the answer to my question, but weer can I advertise at all? You see I would really like some members but no one really comes to my board, does anyone have a suggestion? [glow=red,2,300]

As talked about in the first post, you can enter your URL into search engines and try to affiliate with other sites. A huge help to get attention is to join several Top Sites; there are many sites out there with the purpose of advertising. Look for ones dedicated to either an assortment of topics or to the topic that matches yours.

This may sound like a familiar question... But where is the best place to advertise a roleplaying site? (this is probabley a very stupid question. lol)

You could, but the only time your site will be seen on larger topsites is if you get many votes. If you have few members, it may not work out well. That's why I don'y use topsites very often.

I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but the best way, In my opinion, to bring in members is to become an active part of other communities. If you become well-known at different genres of forums, people are more apt to look at your forum.

ive made a roleplaying forum, where do i advertise it? because there is no forum directory on proboards and so i can't find roleplaying forums.....

Probably send the links to your friends and bring it up in chatrooms.

Just advertise it like you would any other forum. You don't just have to advertise at other RP boards. Like what was stated in the initial post, try to go and advertise/affiliate on all genres of forums. There may be someone, say at Graphics forum, that likes to roleplay but has nowhere to do it. Think of all the posibilites and you can come up with many ways to advertise your board.

Hey. I tried to link to my forums through a pic in my signature, but the coding is just showing up as the sig. How can I get this to work??? Regular HTML is just showing up and not performing it's functions.

Well, good for you. I started a RP site and I advertised it on two very well known advertising sites, I've got a few members, but not enough to start. None of the members, not eve my two admins, have passwords to certainplaces that they need to access.The only reason I haven't gave them out is because that we don't have any member's. Ah...

Oh and I say go to GOAYB and join a good advertising site. It recommend Members 4U and Free To Advertise.

Those are all very good suggestion, but unfortunately they don't work for me. The way I advertise my forum is by doing The Word of Mouth, and also I make videos about the site, to get some people to join and that seems to help a lot and it works, so now I haven been getting members, joining my forum (probably 3-4) each day.
