So I know linking a proboards in a iframe is against the TOS and also using AJAX. But I was just hoping it could be for just one little page? ^_^' this little pageThe reason why I ask, well obviously I want to make a code which would require using a iframe or AJAX for that page, but that's also the only page that does not escape itself from a iframe (as far as I know) and using AJAX to get information from that page wouldn't have any security risks, right?

I didn't think that linking proboards in an IFRAME was against tos. I just new it caused problems so PB put a code so that it would break out of frames.......

Loading a PB page in an Iframe means that ads are not shown properly, so would be against TOS. and PB is desgned to break out of frames.

He does have a point. It doesn't have ads which was the main point of proboards banning IFrames and such. This could prove useful in any case. It's not officially in the TOS that you can't use IFrames neither, so it's not like anything would needed to be changed. Just add this exception to the 'imaginary TOS list'

He's right. You got nothing on him here. The ads aren't even on that page so you can't say the ads are hidden because they won't be in the requested information from that page. I would further like to say the document is not embeded in the page anyway with AJAX so the client is not even seeing that page so it's not costing you guys money. As well as AJAX not slowing down the sever. So anyway this code should be legal. No forms are being submitted without permission from the client or are ads being hidden.

You cannot use an iframe if the page you are loading in it is from ProBoards and it does not show the ads, that's all. Iframes are fine

Say the iframe was on the main page.
Everytime the page is loaded, 2 pages would actually be loaded, in essence doubling the hits, and halfing what the serves can do
Thats what he means by stress on the servers

But using AJAX doesn't stress the server right? Or not as much at least. =P.
Also nobody answered my question, it's just a small page that doesn't take long to load, and I would read the information from that page with AJAX anyways.

Since Martyn did not say it was ok to do and he verified the part about putting extra stress on the forum i would not do it unless he specifically says its ok in this thread...he will probaby check back on it again later and give you a more definitive reply.
