Forum URL: distantpast.proboards54.comI understand that different browsers display differently, but I'm curious to whether this is a browser problem or it is something to do with the amount of codes I put in my forum's footers and headers. I usually use Netscape, and when I visit my forum, it reads and operate fine, but displays weird-not really necessary doing what the codes I put in says. But, if I go to another forum with the same amount of codes, if displays correctly, as far as I know, for the other forum displays the codes that are not showing up on mine correctly. I know that this is not a coding error because my forum displays perfectly on IE. Just wondering...

it might be that some of your codes are not getting on with each other or that they just dont work in other browsers. the amount of code only effects loading times

Different browsers have different "tolerances" on wrong syntax in scripts. I opened up your forum in IE and it gave me 5 JavaScript Errors, so i'm guessing your Netscape (what version are you using?) mustn't like those very much. I also tried your forum on my netscape (version 8) and it loads the same as in IE. Best take this to code support where the code creator might be able to help you better.

Well, it not just specific codes, and if it is, I'm not sure which ones. I use Netscape version 7.1 and it just started loading and displaying correctly shortly after I started this thread, but I no idea why. Also, in IE it does say error at the bottom of the page. But, the part about different browser "tolerances" make sense. So, is there anything I can do?

work out which code is causing the errors by removing them one by one (may take a while but it's worth it) then you can see if there's an alternative code.
of course you could always ask in code support, they'd probably spot the error quicker and be able to tell you a fix for it.

I just did that a week ago when I put in a code that was seemingly wasn't working, and since then I have been adding them back in. Okay, I guess I'll ask in the code support board.
