Forum URL: wearedillon.proboards44.comHi Ive got a board which only staff members can view. There is a thread on there which will not open and an IE6 error box pops up saying: "Internet Explorer cannot open the site wearedillon.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=bandinfo&actiondisplay&thread=1133121270&page=1Operation aborted" The only option it gives me is to click "ok" and when I click that the page does not load and displays the "cannot find server" page instead. What could be the cause of this? I had an attachment on the thread and have deleted it but this didn't help. I also tried "fix a board" but this didn't help either. Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers

yes but please understand I cannot let you login as there is personal info in there. Would it help if I sent you a screen shot of the error?

Ah ok, I see what you mean, well normally we are to view the problem for ourselves but you could try a screenshot however I do not know if that will suffice

That makes no sense to me, unless you are willing to open up that board you will just have to wait until someone who can if someone who can interprate that error can come online

ok thanks for trying I'll wait till someone can come online to interpret that error as I'm not too sure about opening the board up... The other band members might not be too happy. lol I've checked out your site too and have added us to the entertainment section. Nice site! Cheers again If anyone else knows the solution to this problem, please help. Thanks

well, it could be a conflicting code, have you used any codes that result in changin, adding anyhting to do with staff members, or anything? if so go back and delete that and see if the error has gone.

Well i think ive found the problem. It was a code in my main footer which changed the "forum name" to "dillon" I got rid of this code and I can now open this thread but there is still something wrong with it. Here's a screen shot of the post now h1.ripway.com/wearedillon/error.JPG Do you know of another code that has the same effect as this one but doesn't mess up my threads? If not, I spose i'll get rid of the code and delete the messed up thread and start it again... Thanks for your help ;D

it appears that you have moved the banners ads and your menu bar, there are codes to move things like this and also if you wanted to change the forum name why did you not just do it via general settings?
