Lost Threads

Problem:

I didn't start this board, I'm just trying to help out one of our other members.

Basically a thread was started a while ago by the member who also started the board. That member has now decided to leave and delete their account. This has had the effect of deleting all the members posts also. This means that the thread has been lost.

The thread is important as it covered a restoration project and had a lot of posts (for our board anyway) and the guy doing the restoration project doesn't have time to write it all up again. (He didn't start the thread, and is still a member of the board)

So we were wondering if there was any way to return this thread to how it was before the member who started it left.

That really is a shame, would anyone by any chance know if any sites cache deep enough into the site to find the thread again, I've tried all the major search engines and "the way back machine" etc. but they don't go deep enough.

I get the feeling it may be gone forever,

edit : no offence Swift, but it says that you are banned, and that you only joined yesterday, yet have 89 posts. May I presume a bit of spam? Therefore I'm inclined to wait for someone elses response on this one...

Although Swift is banned now, he's right.

Threads can't be brought back, just like posts and boards.

You could try searching google for a cache version but even that can be impossible.
