Is there a list of known codes that could restrict people from logging in or causing logon problems?

there is an area in admin pannel which can block people by email, Ip and or username

No...sorry let me be a little clearer.I have numerouse members ,like 20 or so that cant log in and if they do get in and try to post nothing happens.Ive lost many members due to the login problems.I was askin if there is a list of codes that are known to cause login problems.

You said 20 or so people yet there are only 2 registered members to that site. What kind of message are they getting when they attempt to login?

oh..Thats not "THE" site but i had all members who had problems go there.Still problems so its obviously not "The" site causeing problems.They get no message it just either wont let them log in pr it freezes while trying to log in or it kicks them when they try to post.

edit: well, I logged in fine, and successfully activated my account and now my account is pending approval. My username there is 'tommyhuynh'

Sugar, I've been dealing with an obsessive jerk myself.

You can ban by ip. Cut off the last few digits and use an asterisk to denote a wildcard*. But, any stalker worth their money knows how to sign on with a different ip.

You can disable their screenname. You can disable new members from joining.

Logically speaking, there's not much you can do until they become criminally threatening.

THEN you trace their ip via a program: Neo-Trace has a nice extended free trial--and report them to their isp. Maybe send a copy of everything to your local police, just in case.

OR: I'm usually good at scaring off all but the professionals. Email me if you want them to know the fear of God.

That doesn't help the person at all. As said in previous threads, read and follow the rules.

2. If you want to keep the board private, mention it in your post, and be ready to PM the url.
3. Bookmark your thread so you can find it later (and/or use the notify feature)
4. Don't post your entire header/footer codes, some codes are copyright, and we can see the codes in your board source.
5. Check the copyrights in codes before posting them here.
6. If you have a problem with a code you got elsewhere, go back to them for support.
7. If you have multiple questions, either number your questions, or make a new thread for each question (easier for us)
8. Describe problems in detail, with any errors. ("my boards not working" is not enough)
9. Make requests legible (don't use glow, or 'street talk' etc)
10. ProBoards related questions only.
11. No image requests.
12. No SPAM, forum promotion, TOS Reports, or complaints of any kind.
13. Don't bump your threadfor 24 hours.
14. Don't post in someone else's thread, create your own thread.
15. Don't give out your password to ANYONE.
16. Don't PM staff with Support problems unless you are asked to do so.



Support helpers

1. If you are first to reply, always quote the first post, and any relevant posts (if members are abusive, or for evidence)
2. If someone has replied to a request, let that helper deal with the requester.
3. If the requester comes back and still needs help, wait before answering if you were not the original helper.
4. Only reply if you can actually help the requester.
6. if you repeat an answer, delete your post.
7. if you are not the original helper, and see an error, you may post a correction.
8. If the requester is happy with the answer, let the thread drop, (the requester may not come back to read it, so there is no point)
9. Don't argue between helpers, take it to PM.
10. Do not ask people to make you a temporary Mod or admin of their board.
11. If someone says their board has been deleted, there are several reasons why it may have been deleted, Don't automatically assume it was a TOS violation, Admin staff are the ONLY ones that can say for sure.
