Alright, so as I near the completion of the forum I'm making, I'm looking for some part-time Fluent PHP programmers that have a good knowledge of MySQL, and are good at learning engines.
You're probably thinking: This is probably another P.O.S./Built-In-An-Hour forum made by some punk kid who thinks he's a PHP Master.
Well, you're entirely off. This forum took me weeks upon weeks, and its pretty much 95% Proboards (axing out the custom layouts). I've been coding PHP for a year or two now, and have grown very fond of it. I do have a YouTube programming tutorial channel, but nevermind that.
Anyway, so if you fit the thesis-paragraph description, then shoot me a reply here. All I ask really is that you know PHP and you understand its integration into MySQL.

I'm currently busy building an auction website, but once you've finished with this, I'll gladly proofread your code and help improve any little aspect of it. But I don't have the patience to code a completely forum system from scratch, as I've done that twice before already (both of which were built into my websites, so when I upgraded the sites, the old forums had to be scrapped), and it takes for-f'ing-ever. So, I can do the easy work. Improvements in the like. I highly recommend you check out phpbench.com and update any current progress you have and alter any future progress to be as fast at processing as possible. One that that benchmark is off on, though, is that single quoted strings parse faster than double quoted strings; whereas it finds them as equal. The difference prolly isn't that intense, but it exists, and if it's a script that's going to get huge volumes of traffic (and I assume any forum system would), every little thing matters. So, I'm in. But can't contribute much from scratch, but I'll help proofread and whatever that won't take long. Been doing PHP for a few years now. I'm okay with databases, but I only recently got into database optimization. You can find my IM contact information in my profile.

Well, it's not necessarily that I want or need someone to "proofread" my code, but moreover a backup repair person if I'm not available at the time if the site crashes. If that doesn't suit you, then simply I am looking for some people looking to start up a new project along side me.
When it does come out, though, I won't be posting the link here. I'll send it via PM's and other Messengers.
I'll send you a message, Charles.

Send me a link too - I'm happy to test out things for people etc.. This reminds me, I have an email to reply to!

Like I said, I don't need people to test it.. I have that covered. I'm generally wanting someone who will join up in the forum when it's done, and, when in need, will help repair crashes if they come along. But what comes with that is knowing the structure, so ppart of it *would* be going over parts of the code, as you two stated.

I'm not sure what kind of crash you're expecting. If anything f's up, any Apache server should create an error_log file to tell you what needs fixing. Sounds more like advertising.

Plus, remember, in regards to testing, we can also do security tests. Test for injection or XSS holes.

Aye, that is pretty much what I meant Charles. Well, that among other things. And "crashes" was the wrong word, I suppose. If you're good with injections, then let me know.

I'm pretty good with them. I've found URL injections on both Wrighty's and Cr0w's (does he even come here anymore?) websites. wImg being the main one, since it was so large. They weren't SQL injections, but they were faulty enough to risk stolen passwords, and on cr0w's it did (wImg didn't have passwords) - and I still know his password.

Not a good thing to admit, Wrighty. I was the only one to find the URL injections, though.

Right, well it's finished, now I just need to buy the host/server for it, as I can't find any (temporary) reliable free-hosting sites.

Remember when Renegade, Martyn, and Pat Clinger came and had fun with some guy's web app that was full of security holes?
