I did not create the forum the admin was transfer to me when the original admin moved.

Unfortunatelt, i can only transfer ownership of the forum if it is the owner of the forum requesting it, as in the person who created the forum.

This board is used by a Home Owners Association. It was created by Scott Powers. When Scott moved out of the neighborhood then he supposedly officially transfered ownership to Mark Mills. Mark Mills now wants to officially transfer ownership to me.

If the transfer from Scott to Mark wasn't done the same way Mark is now trying to do for you, Ron, then the site was never officially transferred to Mark. Mark may have been given access details the the admin account, but that doesn't make it official. ProBoards' own database tells Craig that Scott is still the owner - unless it was transferred in exactly the same way Mark is now trying to transfer ownership. It's not just admin account transfer - ProBoards database information needs to be changed, too.

Unfortunately, i can only confirm what Niobe has posted. I cannot hand over control unless it is the person i have on record as the owner.

So we are currently stuck with admin rights to an ownerless board? I don't like the sound of that!

Since Mark now has the admin rights are we safe from deletion?

Can this board be cloned under a new one?

If we start a new one can Mark delete the old one?

If Scott is the official owner, but mark has control of the admin account including access to the delete board button, then yes it's possible for mark to delete the board.

Yes you can start a new board, but can't have the exact same board username.
Cloning would be manual by copy/paste, assuming you would also rehost the images if needed (if Scott owns the image host account).

Just to note, if Scott wants the old board restored, he can request it as he is the official admin.
