shoutbox missing

Hello all!

I post on a forum with a shoutbox - all of the other members can see and use the shoutbox - I cannot - - anymore - it was there one minute - and gone the next time i refreshed the page.

I do have moderator access - I have spoken to the other admins and mods - no one can seem to work out why it won't show up on my pc

any ideas? much thanks in advance

Well, seeing as tho other users can see it then the problem is with yoru Pc, so can i get you to clean your cache, (temp files, tempary internet files and history)

1) follow corrupts post
2) you must give a url when posting for support so we can see the problem
3) if corrupts instructions dont work go to the following link

depends which you used

to clear your cache go to on your internet page

tools > internet options > then click

delete cookies then
delete files then delete again with the box checked

then reopen your home page

then try

Thank you very much for your responses and information - ;D

I have tried the delete cookies/history - several times and both with the page active and being logged off the BB and it hasn't worked.

sorry to seem a bit dense here - but you've requested a URL and I'm not sure what exactly you are after - so this is the url i get when i log on to the bulletin board i am having the SHOUTBOX difficulty with

I should say that this is not the url for when i log in as a moderator - but it doesn't matter which i use - this one or the moderator one - because the shoutbox is not there for either of them.

and it is indeed a shoutbox not a say box.

i did give the link for the shoutbox a go and had a quick perusal - I didn't see anything offering help for my difficulty - but to be honest it was purely a cursory look i didn't read it thoroughly so i will go have a closer look at it now - i just felt i should pop in to say thank you very much for your suggestions

Try turning off your computer and router for 30 secs and turning them back on. You'd be surprised at how that often solves the problem.

If you have Norton Internet Security it may be blocking your Shoutbox. I use a SayBox which is different, but NIS blocks them and you have to change the settings so your shoutbox displays.

ta - but the problem has been around for several days now with the pcand all it's components shut down each night.
