Karma Feature

Hi, I just introduced the karma feature at my boards, most people liked it, but a vocal minority were not keen, so I pulled the plug on it. It raised a couple of questions though, is there an option to opt in or out of the karma feature? If not, could it be incorporated in future upgrades perhaps, like when people opt in or out of emails and pms from the admin? That way, the ones that dont like the karma feature can opt out and the rest of us can enjoy some harmless fun. In fact, maybe in your rpofile you should be opted out, and if you want to activate it, you have to thru your profile?
Secondly, I decided that I will activate the karma feature for a week each month just to keep everyone happy, however, I was hoping it would reset to zero each time, it appears to keep the current karma scores, is there anyway it can be reset. As starting everyone on 0 would be better imo.

1) No, there isn't an option to opt out I'm afraid, if you wanted to you could use the Suggestions board to suggest it
2) No, it cannot be reset, again, you could suggest it

I have just found a code that can be added and resets the karma to 0 apparently, I'll check it and see if it works.

I have also been told there is a code that means that the karma can only be positive OR negative, ie it takes the smite or exhalt button off, is this not the case?

That wouldn't be automatic. The karma is stored in the profile, so needs to load the profile page to clear it.

I'm not very good on technical speak, can you explain that a bit more please
I added the code, added karma, and checked my profile and also refreshed it, and still the karma stayed on 10 and not 0

The only way to clear it would be to go in each persons profile, and set it to 0
