A:M/C - deleting a newly created board

i was creating an additional sub-board to but had done it wrong and created it as a board instead, so i deleted it. as always the prompt that says all the contents would also be deleted along with the deletion of the board. It is a new board under the armor category, so it is empty... I ok'd the deletion.

Now, a problem came up after i have created the sub board, it was telling me that it can't find the board where it is to be placed above of. I checked the index page and found that all other boards were also deleted along with the newly created additional sub board.



I want to recover the rest of those boards. they were not supposed to be deleted.

I placed my boards in maintenance mode immediately.

Please reply ASAP, there is an on-going event for our org in the boards.

add to that, as i was doing some checking, the board seems to have gotten stuck to the error message and all it says is the message saying that the board that i created does not exist.

Once you delete a category, all boards, sub-boards, threads, posts, etc. in that category are gone. There isn't a way to bring them back.

Try (and this might not work) clicking the fix a board option in the administrative section.

i did not delete a category, i deleted a board... a newly added, empty board under one category... and all the rest were deleted when i deleted that newly added, empty board

Were these all sub boards under the same main board that were lost? I have never heard of someone deleting a sub board and having totally unrelated boards being deleted as well. Either way once a board and it's contents are deleted the content is lost permanently....there is no way to recover category or board info.

it was mistakenly classified as another board. what freaks me out is the fact that there are other boards that got deleted along with it when it was not supposed to be. i don't know how it happened when only a single board is being deleted, resulting to 5 or more boards being deleted. I am aware that once they have been ok'd, data is basically lost... what i do not understand is the fact that those other boards were not supposed to have been deleted along with it because they were independent of the board that was being deleted.

i am basically begging for the support group to find a way to restore the data because there is an important event that just commenced and people have already started to post their entries.
