Forum URL: www.thesheildrap.proboards45.com Hello. One of our members (I am in contact with her through YIM) says she cannot stay logged in to proboards. She doesn't have this problem with yahoo groups, nor myspace. She has a Mac laptop, and I've only ever worked with/on PCs. (I know, I know....) Is there a simple fix for this? Please let it be simple! lol I couldn't find any info here by searching.
Thank you,
E

Have you asked her to check her cookies? Read the first post in the FAQ.

To add on to CrazyGuy's post, when logging in always check "forever" in the login box.

Some members computers (because of timezones) handle timed cookies incorrectly, as long as the machines settings are set to allow cookies to be set, then the cookie will work on forever (or possibly longer perioids of time, such as 1 day)

Thank you all for responding. This member is in Australia, if that helps any.

if she's from australia then I'd deffinitely say its a time zone difference. also I have a question does the computer only count in its home TZ? can a computer calculate the TZ difference and then set cookies for that instead? (just a tad curious)
