Question concerning moderator powers

If I specifically assign a moderator to one certain forum, their name will show up and everything, yet they have no powers.

If I edit their group and make them a mod then their powers show up. However that title sticks with them no matter what section they are posting in.

I remember in pb3 the moderator stars would ONLY show up in the area they were a mod in.

My question is this: Is this something new in pb4 where a mod of just one board shows up as a mod for everything? Also, do their assigned powers work in any other forums, or just the one I specifically assign them to? Thabks

In Modify Groups, if you set "Limit Powers," to yes, then the person in that member group will only have access to those powers in the boards that you impart them to moderate. For example, daniel is moderator of GT, but when he posts here, he is shown as moderator but with no powers.

Limit powers is set to 'yes.' I was just saying in pb3, the members only showed up as a moderator in their forum. Every place else they went back to their normal stars and normal custom title.

Now they show up as a moderator everywhere. And I was just making sure that was normal?

Do you know if I can change it back so they only show up as a moderator in their designated board?

I'm just gonna set the moderator group to normal stars and name it something else. So I'm good.
