Why doesn't it say anywhere that the user is banned when you ban them? I think it should...

...In your ban list, it will have the IP number, e-mail, or username you banned them with. Then if you want to delete it, you click the checkbox next to it. So really, there is somewhere where it says it.
And on the user's side, it will give them a message saying "You are banned from this forum".

I'm a new member, just registered yesterday, read for awhile but didn't post, and when I signed on today, I got a "you've been banned" notice!
I had to re-register all over again, with a new activation code.
How in the world can I get banned just for reading?

Where did it say "you've been banned!"? Was it a Private Message, or did it fill the whole screen? Or none of the above?
If you had to re-register, then that probably means that they banned your username...
