My background pic is pretty big but id like it to be one large pic instead of like 3 pictures...like it repeats the picture multiple times...i wanna know how you can have the BG pic just be one large pic....

Go to your admin panel. Select the forum skins/colors link. Where your bg image url is right below should be an option to set the background to a fixed position... If it is marked no, select yes, if it is marked yes, select no. This basically will let the background scroll instead of repeat.
My internet is having a crappy connection at the moment or I would be able to tell you for sure..

that's probably because it's too small. it will automatically repeat it self if its too small. try maximizing it.

Global headers: <style type='text/css'> body{ background-position:center center; background-repeat:no-repeat; } </style>

I think he's asking what size it has to be exactly to take up the whole background screen... if your not Rassy, I would still like to know heh heh

I think he's asking what size it has to be exactly to take up the whole background screen... if your not Rassy, I would still like to know heh heh that's a loaded question. if you're not using a background designed to tile or be a fluid width, it's going to vary by screen resolution. For example, if I made a background fitting my old resolution, it'd be 1024 px wide and 780 px high. That is too small for my two current resolutions, 1280x1024, and 1280x800. So, what works in one resolution won't work in another. It's always best to use a background that is either tiled, fluid width, or will look OK even if it's not repeated. =]

well with my forum what resolution works best? maybe an admin can view my forum and give me an idea please...... again - resolution is something that varies monitor by monitor. you'd be best off with something that is repeating, or using a code that sets a specific border around the forum [such as smangii's border-around-forum code, using images.] edit;; but if you /really/ want an exact size, try 1280x1280. not many people have a larger monitor resolution, though i have seen 1600x1024, just not a lot.
