Adam hears the plan and agrees, taking the batteries Alex has offered. He will follow Phaelyn's plan to distract the zombofficer.

Phaelyn, Patrick, Wildmaven, Ren and Adam formulated a plan or two to take out the passing zombie police officer. After allowing the zombies to pass the west entrance of the mall Adam popped the batteries into the radio and headed for the south entrance. Once outside he began fiddling with the knobs trying to find a frequency. As he stopped near the corner the zombies were about 10 feet from the west doors. He could see Phaelyn peeking out.

As he fiddled with the radio static and squelches from its speakers made noises. The zombies saw him immediately. Phaelyn's plan seemed to be working. Adam noticed that the officer had no radio on him and realized the problem with this plan. Adam distractions were just that distractions. He was the bait.

The zombies began to shuffle towards him. He took a step back towards the corner deciding if he should run or not but realizing it could jeopardize the other's attack. He clicked off the radio and began to dance around to his own voice made sound track of Thriller.

The zombies didn't dance they just kept approaching him. He was starting to get worried. Then, suddenly, the other 4 burst through the west doors and bum rushed the zombies. Adam's dancing was so entrancing not a single one turned even though Ren and Wildmaven let out Xena like battle cries. The bashed the **** out of the zombies. Afterwards they picked up the 9mm service pistol. It had 13 rounds(ammo) and a spare clip with another 13 (ammo). They also got the officers police baton and set of handcuffs.

Adam takes the handcuffs.

I grab the police baton, if that's possible.

Also, that went awesome, guys! I'm surprised it worked out without Adam getting hurt

Crow continues to rest but looks out to see the group was victorious. She gives me a thumbs up sign.

It was an interesting day. Wildmaven had agreed to become part of an assault team against the gun-toting zombie and his friends. She had toyed with the idea of using the power of her puny lighter, but Patrick quickly put her in her place. Giving him an apologetic look, she put the lighter back into her pocket and prepared to attack. And attack she did! She was proud of the way she handled herself, with just her fists as weapons. "I deserve chocolate," she said when it was over. She kicked the fallen zombie's foot and briefly considered stealing his shoes.

Oh damn. >.< I need to check this thread more often throughout the day. Now that I know special events can occur, I'll make it a point to do so.

Alex Zechiel: Moving may not be a bad idea. I get the feeling we've just about depleted our resources here. On the first floor, at least. I don't know if searching nearby includes both floors or just the current one, but it might be worth checking out if it's the latter. There must be a food court somewhere.

I highly suggest we make a quick stop at the restaurant for supplies and then make our way to the school. Falling back to the second floor or roof due to weak defenses could potentially trap us. Now that we have ranged weapons and ammo to go with them, we should probably move within the next couple of days, while the trip is relatively safe.

ren: Thank you so much for that! In light of this, I'll give the screw driver to anyone who doesn't currently have a weapon. First come, first serve.

After a day spent in a trance undisturbed, Nick sped up his breathing and arose from the half lotus position he had assumed in the center of the mall. Looking around he notices the worsening of the situation. Multiple infected survivors. Rancid food knocking people out of action. Deteriorating moral.

"We have bullets for our guns. We have arrows for our bows. Yet things continue to spiral out of control. It's fine to do whatever it takes to survive, but we can barely even organize our actions during the day and our defences at night. As I suggested many nights ago, so I will suggest again."

Defense of each side:
1 fighter
1 healer
1 other
The side that doesn't have a fighter / healer combo should get an extra person from one of the sides that does (unless we have a ranged person with weapon + ammo). We can also distribute the items to make sure each side is equally well defended.

"I'll Defend South every night. Conduct yourselves accordingly."

Climbing to the top of Pepper's car, Nick gazes across the mall towards one of its many exits. "However much being organized will help us, it is worthless in the long run. We need a plan with more to it than day to day survival. We have an ideal position here. One that we have been strengthening daily. That strength gives us the opportunity to plan for our future, and it gives us the chance to decide what we will do here. Do we want to find out what happened to this city? Do we want to escape and discover if this has happened all over the world? These are questions whose answers will tell us how to live, but more importantly, they will give us purpose."

With that he slowly climbs down from the car and walks into the rest of the mall to Search (Nearby), pausing only to look over at Adam. "You still haven't answered my question."


Derek, can I have that screwdriver? I don't have a melee weapon yet. =)
