Day 22 Recap

Phaelyn, Patrick and Ren piled into Derek's bus and they headed east. As they drove by the Asylum Phaelyn looked out the window. Hanging on the barbed wire fence was a bloody sweater. Phaelyn thought that it looked a lot like that girl Kim's. She wondered if any of the other survivors were still alive.

They encountered no zombies and a short ride later they found a water tower. They decided to climb it to see if they could get a better view of the surrounding area. Unfortunately the weather was still bad. Up on the water tower they were able to see farther but not by much. It would be impossible for zombies to reach them up there, but being outside over night could be bad if the weather got worse.

Adam and Etc spent the day scavenging the police station for anything useful. Late in the afternoon they thought they heard a car drive by but when they looked out the window they saw nothing.

Etc(5) - Found 9 .45 Rounds (ammo) and found nothing else.

Pepper, Wildmaven and Axel cruised back to the Firehouse. On the way they made sure to take out a couple zombies. After dropping of Pepper and Axel, Maven took the car out to scout a little further. She found a huge circle of cars and bodies in the middle of the town square. She used he binoculars and spotted a sturdy looking house in the neighborhood west of the square.

All was quiet... too quiet. Not a single zombie was seen by any survivor the entire night. Lucky.

*Etc. had been searching so long she forgot what she was searching for. When she found the ammo she quickly stuffed it away in her pockets. Part way through the previous day she thought she saw Pepper's car but Etc. figured it was just wishful thinking*

wildmaven and Pepper, I want to go past the town square but I don't want to stop. If y'all want to go past the town square too please go with us ;D

We could go south, then east? I don't think a day's work would get us to the border of the map anyways.

Its just altitude markers. But feel free to explore and reveal them.

Adam searched nearby with Etc. all the previous day. When they heard what they thought was a car, Adam walked a distance away to get a better view.

On his way back he heard Etc. talking to Wildmaven and Pepper. He checked himself for his 2-way radio, thinking "That little thieving mouse, when did she- oh!" He found it on him where it always was.

"How is she talking to them, then?" he thought.

Etc. finally noticed Adam and turned to face him. She had been talking to herself. Her eyes widened and her lips slowly stretched to form a huge smile.

Adam looked at her perplexedly before she ran off to search more. "What a creepy girl," he thought to himself.

Adam the Master Chef decided to search nearby with Etc. again. Now suspicious that she might has telepathic powers or is just plain nuts, Adam kept a close eye on her and would sometimes try random frequencies on his 2-way radio to see if he could pick up her thoughts. That night he would defend south with his baseball bat. His other items were a lighter, 2-way radio, bullet-proof vest, bow + 4 arrows, remote-control helicopter, and flashlight.

[Pepper]

With no plan for the day set yet and no idea where Wildmaven had gone off to, Pepper sat on the hood of her car, her chainsaw lying across her lap, her radio in her hand. She switched to various frequencies, smiling to herself and singing softly. "Sunny day, sweepin' the clouds away... on my way to where the air is sweet..." She yelped as Alex's katana sword clattered off of the hood of her car to the ground below, and hesitated in her fiddling and song to jump down from the car, pick it up, and secure it among her other possessions beside her as she resumed her position and fiddling. "Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?" She took a pause to giggle and toss the radio from one hand to the other, "Come and play, verything's A-OK. Friendly neighbors there that's where we meet.. Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?"

Ryan Roos did you make this map by yourself? it looks really time consuming to make all of the details.

There were only so many times that one could sing the cheery Sesame Street song before it all got a little bit repetitive... where on earth were Wildmaven and Axel? Pepper shifted uneasily, having gone through all frequencies of the radio at least five times, she figured it was time to do something better with her day. She didn't want to move without knowing what was going on with her companion(s)... She was torn between moving to another building to be of some use, and sticking around here where she was, at least until she figured out what Wildmaven wanted to do.

-also has her car, the keys, Alex's katana sword, the police radio, a flashlight, a super-awesome shotgun, and shotgun shells.

(This is another day when I'll be leaving soon and won't be back before the deadline to edit my action if Wildmaven thinks there's a better course of action... but wildmaven: I think we should join up with Etc. and Adam. After all, then we can all fit into my car if we need to move a greater distance. We can always split up again later to cover more ground again.)

When Wildmaven got back from her scouting mission, she was surprised to see the intense mood change in Pepper. What they had seen at the helicopter drop had obviously took its toll on the woman's mind. The final refrain of a tune from Sesame Street hung in the air as Wildmaven walked up to Pepper. For a minute, she was torn. They needed to find a way out of this mess, but Pepper needed others. "Grab your shiny weapons," she said with a sigh. "We're going back to the police station."

Day 23 Recap

The four at the water tower rested. Phaelyn and Derek checked a nearby house and found some bullets and arrows. Afterward Derek took the bus out to explore east. And he hit the jackpot, he was so excited he almost crashed the bus driving back. He climbed the tower and told everyone about the Gun Shop that he found.

Adam and Etc were growing more and more cautious of each other. They each thought the other was strange. They spent the day finding ways to protect the station better. They heard a car pull up outside and were happy to see Maven, Pepper and a large dalmatian climbed out of the car. Axel was introduced and Maven and Pepper announced that they had something important to talk about.
