I figured it was a bomb designed to clean up the mess, too. But what do you propose we do?

We won't get very close to the alarm today. We can either get to location 1 (directly above 25), or stop at 25 and try to scout to what appears to be location 8 (if pplossible), and try to get to the alarm tomorrow. We're simply too far away to directly do anything today.

If the other group hadn't been in such a rush, perhaps we could have made it out of the city. Buses don't run on Diet Sprite, after all. >.>

Edit: strike that. Apparently Pat's down with running away. Unless someone else has a better plan, moving as far away from the alarm is about all we can do.

Day 31 Recap

Derek, Patrick and Ren jumped in the bus and headed west. Driving past the bed and breakfast they had left a month before. They each thought of the million dollars they had been promoised. It seemed so long ago. So many people lost along the way.

The alarm sounded just after noon. The trio arrived at the clothing retail store and decided that they better search further west. They found an old solid looking church. They didn't have time to secure the building before dark so they headed back to the retail store. The sun was setting and the alarm sounded again.

There was a bright flash from the north east and a low rumbling noise coming from over the hill in the center of town. As the sun dipped below the horizon the trio could see a glow coming from that direction.

Night 31 Recap

Another night of zombies wandering north east. Like moths drawn to a flame they walked towards the glow and rumble from over the hill.

...Welp, if that bomb is just going to continue to blow outwards then were pretty much screwed. We could making a shelter? I think that's gonna be our best bet at this point. The odds of survival are slim no matter what we do.

The EvilCorp Torpid Arboreal Expansion Bomb™ continued to grow outward at a very steady pace. Zombies wandered into the wall of light as it slowly rumbled towards them. They were instantly disintegrated like everything else that the wall of light touched. All ready in the center of the explosion small saplings were sprouting, a new forest to cover up the former town of Brindol.

Day 32 Recap

The trio moved to the church they found the day before and searched nearby. Behind it they found a graveyard. It looked like the zombies were limited to the people who were living in the town, and not anyone who had already been buried like so many movies. Ren saw a giant white dome of light rising up over the hill and pointed it out the the guys.

No one spotted a zombie the entire night, the only noise was the low rumble. Half of the town was illuminated by the white light coming from the slowly advancing explosion.

@group: Following the location numbers, I'm certain there is nothing S-SW of our location. Moving to 20 and scouting West in order to create a traversable route to 27 appears to be our best hope of getting as far away from the light as possible. By all means, someone is free to scout South if they so wish (it doesn't appear as if there is any threat of encountering any zombies while doing so alone), but I'm confident it's going to be a dead end.

I say we should move to 20, have one person scout North, one West, and one can try South if they want (or scout East first, then move to 20). I really think at this point we should be looking for a possible bunker to hole up in and survive the blast, if possible--finding a way out of the city before the light consumes a valuable resource we may need to escape seems unlikely.

derek and Ren - Ha I didn't even realize that she found that medkit. Okay.

We need to decide. Are we gonna try and find an item to use to get over the wall and escape? Or are we going to try and survive the blast? Pat seems to think that the likelihood of living through the bomb is extremely slim. I agree, but I also think that the chances of finding something useful in the next day or two is also unlikely.

If I had to pick one, I'd say we need to find items to try and get over the wall. We probably only have two more days (or less) before the blast gets to us so I say we just keep moving west or southwest. Don't waste an action scouting. Just move and search nearby for items once we get there.

However, if anyone is in favor of making a bomb shelter instead of my plan, I don't mind doing that either.
