Forum URL: ultimatecher.proboards39.comHello all, I inquired to you all several months ago that someone hacked into my admin account and deleted messages from the boards. Well, this evening I noticed in my inbox that I had received a Forgotten Password request which was sent 11/21. I did not send myself a Password Request, which means that someone has tried to hack into it. I went to my security log just now, and noticed that a Guest with a different IP address than mine had sent it to get my password. Can anyone offer me any advice?

Make sure your admin password is long and have random letters and numbers in it. Keep your email address hidden in your profile and change your email password to a hard one also. Edit for spelling errors, i'm on a laptop right now.

Make your email address more secure. Sending a forgot password request sends the password only to your email. So as long as they can't access your email account, it isn't a problem. It sounds to me like they could already have access to your email account if they're bothering to request the password though. I'd act quickly. Change your email account password to something like this:
s@#LS00djlE_+SdiH(#HOKSDJLKFJLGI*(E
and if you have a "secret question" for your email account, make the answer something similar to the above.

Sending a password request will not get them into your account. It will go to your email, and no one elses. You don't have anything to worry about.

Ok, thanks. I am worried that they could get into my e-mail account, but I doubt they will as I think my provider has a strong protection against that.
EDIT: I have my e-mail hidden, so how could they have attempted to get my e-mail address?

EDIT: I have my e-mail hidden, so how could they have attempted to get my e-mail address? they just need to put in admin into the reminder box, they don't need to know your email.
