Wondering how I can do this....

I am working on a forum and I want a category hidden but only until the member has one or posts. Like after they register, there member title will say something like "Inactive" and then when they post, it will say "Active" and then the category will become visible from now on. I thought there used to be a way on V3 but I have a bad memory and I dont remember fully. Anyways, thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's only (remotely) doable by a code, right?

It was previously possible in v3. However, it's currently not possible in v4, but it seems to be a higly supported idea to be implemented in v5 (talking about v5 already).

It was previously possible in v3. However, it's currently not possible in v4, but it seems to be a higly supported idea to be implemented in v5 (talking about v5 already).

It should be being added to v4 I need to nag pat more.
