Does it send out automatically to random people? ;D Just checked my email, nothing yet It is all random. If you don't recieve an email in your inbox or spam box (as the case with some email providers marking proboards as spam), you will have to wait every day till you do receive an email. In which case, about the same time as you receive the email, you will notice a little bit extra stuff here on the support board.

The character limit has been increased by so much they didn't even bother putting the counter in this time ;d So does that mean there's no character limit? YAY! there is a limit but its so huge most people won't manage to reach it in one post its about 5 times the size of the current limit.

I've got a question that has been troubling me a little since the new version was announced...
Will we be able to maintain our boards with the older software, while we get the V5 software working the way we want it before upgrading to it, or will it be an automatic software change, and we will have to just deal with all the code issues for those of us who have heavily modified forums?

I think they have another beta that is applied to your forum where you (the admin) can make sure everything is up and running before a full release, I know its something like that, so don't quote me on it

I remember that they said, you will be able to test your forum on the new version before you upgrade (I forgot if they called it a beta though). There is a 2 month grace period, where you'll have time before you upgrade the forum. During that time, make your tests, etc. After the two months, you'll be forced to upgrade, so make sure you finish testing before then. ;D If you're interested for more, check out the v5 blog. www.proboards.com/blog/

Awesome updates stupid question here that's probably been answered a million times & is probably in a really easy place to find out. When making a new PBS forum , will V5 be included as default?

PBS forum? Or PB Forum? I'd expect that after the forced upgrades all new pb forums would be v5

That would be a bit of work for them to do away from fixing stuff.

Thanks for the answers above You've set my mind at ease, I've got some codes that the forum depends on (as I'm sure many other users have)

The invite system is working as intended. Hundreds of invites have been sent out and there are still hundreds to go.
