Forum URL: thenewoldie.proboards76.com
I am the admin of the above forum which is newly formed following deletion of an earlier forum, apparently for TOS violation.
I was not the admin of the deleted forum, so I am unaware of the actual circumstances. I am not asking about those circumstamces now.
Most of the active membership of the deleted forum has successfully transferred to my new forum - however I have been asked by my members to clarify the procedure leading up to deletion for a TOS violation.
1/ Presumably ProBoards cannot actively monitor the 100s of 1000s of forums, and therefore rely on forum admins to keep in good order?
2/ Assuming 1/ above to be correct, presumably ProBoards only become involved following a complaint or TOS-violation report?
3/ In the event of a TOS-violation by a member that the admin should reasonably know about, such as racist postings or pornography, is any warning given or is deletion virtually 'instant'. Is any warning that may be given directed to the admin, or to the member or members concerned.
4/ Is a warning given, and to whom, in the event of a TOS-violation that the admin could not have reasonably known about, such as posting of copy-righted pictures where the copy-right is not obvious.
5/ In the event of any warning being given by ProBoards, is it time-dependant such as "You have x hours to remove the violation, or deletion will automatically follow.
6/ Are warnings cumulative, i.e "3 strikes and you're out"?
Neither I, or my members are "looking to see how far we can go"! - more for information and interest, having been the fall-out from a deletion.
Thanks
