The nominations thread
For weeks you guys have nominated and then voted on your favorite video games. The list started out mega huge, with many duplicates and other errors. But soon the list got smaller. Started with over 130 titles, but soon went down. 69. 35. 18. 9. Now we are down to three titles. Three titles that have always managed to get more votes than the one they've been matched up with once or even twice!
And now we are down to the top three.
The way the voting will work here is going to be different, but it will make sense.
There is a poll at the top, if you didn't notice it yet. The poll options are the top three titles that made it from the last round. Simply vote for your favorite title. Due to the fact that it's a poll with some awesome options that I manually could never keep track of, you'll be able to retract your vote at any time before the poll locks. When the day is up, the poll will automatically reveal the winner/s.
If there is a tie, I'll create a tie breaker. We will get a single winning title by the end of the day!
And to encourage discussion, please feel free to talk about your favorite video game of all time, or set of video games and why. They don't have to be the ones on this list, or the one you voted for. Any game that didn't make it is allowed.
Voting will automatically end, see above on the poll to find out when specifically.

My favorite video game of all time doesn't exist. But my favorite video games of all time are
RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and 3
I discovered RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 at a garage sale. It was an expansion pack and one of the guys there said it wouldn't run normally unless you had the original game. I though the game looked awesome and ended up getting RollerCoaster Tycoon 1, the original. This was back when I had Windows 98 and my parents had the XP.
I didn't list 2 because I never got into it. I instantly went for 3 since it was 3d and had tons of new features and just looked awesome. It was. It didn't work on the 98 but ran okay on the XP. Then as we kept updating our computers and hardware, the game ran faster and faster. Now it runs amazingly well on Windows 7, of course it's the hardware that counts. ;D
I do happen to have 2 but for now it's too late, as I won't have much time left to play computer games. RollerCoaster Tycoon series has always been awesome, and one of my favorite games.
Sim Theme Park
Despite the bad graphics and stuff, it's not that bad of a game. Sure it's built differently and doesn't really simulate a theme park in real life that well, but I loved the themes. I spent hours trying to get golden tickets to advance to the next them. Fun times.
Super Mario Bros
Nothing says video games better than a Mario classic on the NES. I remember playing it at times back when I was young, and we still have the NES, working as if it were just bought Yesterday. Amazing. Love the classics and Mario is one of them.
PacMan
Maybe it's because I spent way too much time than I should working on my Pacman game, but this is another one of my favorites. With a Pacman hoodie and shirt, I think I'm becoming a true fan. Pacman may seem simple to Today's standards, but it will always be a fun game for me.
Mario Kart Wii
Another great game, this time for the Wii. With tons of levels and challenges, it's a blast to drive around on karts facing against my favorite Nintendo characters. I love the themed races and sometimes I'll go into the lap time competition setup where you race yourself for the best time and just make my way around the track, looking and watching. Seeing what the levels has, wondering what it would be like to live there and for it to be real. The history it must have had.
Some old games no one have probably heard of
Chips Challenge is a favorite on Windows 3.11.
Also some game boy games that i can't remember now but I remember spending hours a night playing.
And of course the Namco Museum. One of the types of games that make my nerdy self come out and I just fall in love with the music and graphics and surroundings. It's basically a virtual museum, with each game title they chose as a room and you go in, it shows information and you end up in a 3d world re-creating the game as if it were real life.
Anyway, I'll stop talking. Your turn!
