Forum URL: gchl06.proboards76.comI see that there are many threads about similar topics, and I saw a post that said it can be done, but didn't say how. I bought a domain name, and I want to make my forum link http: //domainname.com/forum or something. I don't want to transfer the forum, just change the link to my domain name. Any help? Thanks

You'd have to ask your webhost.

Well my webhost is a friend of mine with his own server. What exactly do I have to do?

Ask him how to set up a redirect on your domain, and point it to your forum.

Could you just link to your forum with standard html link? I linked my forum to my geocities site this way.
<a href = "your forum url">Link Text Here</a>
For example:
Click <a href = "your forum url">here</a> to visit my forum!
or
<a href = "your forum url"><img src = "url of image to link to forum"></a>

I want something like SSD have done.

you using PHP? change the contents of the index file to this: <?php header("Location: YOUR FORUM URL"); /* Redirect browser */ exit; ?>

Then obviously giving the forum a similar look to your main site (if you have one) would make the transition look even more smooth (like ssd have done)

Right now my forums are: http ://gchl06.proboards76.com/index.cgi I want that to be http ://gchlhockey.net/index.cgi I just want the name changed, I don't want to host it or anything.
