I do not mean how to ban s person or IP. I wonder if there is a thread, post or just some suggestions on the best way to ban a member? I try and keep it civil . the deed can be and should be kept from the other members I think any way. embarrasing a person makes every thing worse & may BLOW UP into a really bad scene what are your thoughts on this & just how do you do it? NICE? Or NASTY? Just wondering, Dan

Just wondering, Dan members profile, click on "ban member" or theres another option..admin panel-->manage memenbers-->ban member-->You can ban people from your forum based on their username, IP address, or email address. At the bottom of this page you will find 5 empty fields for adding new bans to your list. as far as nasty or nice,I'm nice about it, I tell them sorry but you are disrupting this community therefor I'm sorry but I'm banning you, no hard feelings.

Just wondering, Dan if someone needs a ban, then it is best done swiftly and quietly, don't give them chance to disrupt the board, specially if they are staff. go to profile, click the ban member link, and ban by all three methods there. (ip, email, username) if they are staff, modify profile, and demote them.

You can also put a quick note in their custom title so members are aware that the member wont be posting again
