Hi Melissa, Are you wanting to know how to post pictures from their phones while using the ProBoards application for Android and iOS? Or are you wanting to know how to do it straight from the web browser in general on mobile phones?

Hi Melissa, Are you wanting to know how to post pictures from their phones while using the ProBoards application for Android and iOS? Or are you wanting to know how to do it straight from the web browser in general on mobile phones? Well, both I suppose. I'm not really sure what they have in mind. I only know I've had several people ask me how to do it. Thanks.

With the app, it's pretty straight forward but depends on what version their using. When creating a post with the iPhone app, press on the "Open Advanced Options" bar that appears above the virtual keyboard that pops-up. In here you can select either the "Camera" option to take a new picture with the camera, or press "Photo Album" to choose a picture that you've already taken from your photo album. When creating a post with the Android version of the app, click the image of a camera that appears above the virtual keyboard on the screen. From there, they can select either the "Gallery" option to choose an image they have already taken, or the "Camera" option to take a new photo with the camera to attach. When creating a post within the web browser, it depends on the device that they're using as some phones restrict this ability. But in the "Attachment" area of the posting screen, they can click the "Choose File" button that should appear if it is supported on their device and they can upload with that method.
With the above said, though, you'll want to be sure that you have the settings in place for the boards on your forum to allow attachments from regular members. To do this, visit the "Modify Board" link found in your admin panel, then choose a board name from the drop-down menu and click the continue button. On the next page, scroll down to the posting restrictions area. Set the option for "Post Attachments:" to "registered members" if you want regular members to be able to make image attachments to that area
