Your board will eventually upgrade. That has nothing to do with Facebook, nor will you be required to have a Facebook account to use the boards. Facebook is currently only required to sign up for the beta zone.





One question I thought of. I own one board, plus do all the coding on one more. I've already signed up for beta zone but will that cover only MY board? How will I be able to get a copy of the other one? Or does that board owner also have to sign up for beta zone....

I have made quite a few different skin choices for my forum, will these carry over to the new one? Or do I have to do them all again? I like the fact you can use what colours you want as I make my own backgrounds and banners that all co-ordinate.

None announced yet. For Beta Zone it is very soon. And v5 is just for sometime this year.

Moonie, if I remember correctly, the main admin has to be the one to request the BetaZone copy by providing their email address.

I suspect you're right Celeste, and I will be encouraging the other admin to sign up for that reason. I did ask Patrick on another thread, but I didn't phrase it quite the same way as I did here.

Yes, you will be able to specify which forum you want to make a copy of. We will allow multiple forum conversions.

I have 30+ skins on mine as well. Unfortunately, I believe we're going to have to re-create them, but it sounds as if the new theme system will make it much easier. It will still be fully customizable as far as colors and such.

It will be only the main "admin" account that can trigger a conversion. We wouldn't want your regular members or mods to able to take any ProBoards forum and make a copy.

However, once that main admin has requested the copy, another admin on that board (such as myself) would be able to perform admin duties just as they normally would, correct?

I have an admin on my own board who does totally custom stuff for my board alone, and I want for him to be able to convert what he's done as well. Plus, I will want to convert for the other board that *I* admin on..

Once you convert, you can give the URL of the "test copy" to anyone you want, and they can login normally.
