Skidjit: One of the things I'm seeing is that you have background information declared twice, with conflicting information. It looks like via your theme options (the visual editor or via your theme manager) you have specified that your background is this image: i67.tinypic.com/f0q9z8.jpg, with the background colour of white. You've also specified a repeating background, set to 'fixed'. Then you added the CSS in your first post changing the background colour and the image URL as well, with a no-repeat background set to 'scroll'. In addition to tumbleweed's suggestion, I recommend removing the URL and colour specification and leaving only body {background-size: cover;}. Then edit your theme settings to change the background URL and colour. You may also want to change the background repeat / scroll options to no-repeat / fixed. EDIT: Using the inspect tool in chrome, it looks like the issue is very specifically related to the fact that you've got conflicting background information; if I disable the background image & scroll behaviour you added via CSS while still leaving the 'cover' aspect, your flower background expands to the full width of the forum and does not expand and contract when toggling the category collapse.

Eek. I wondered if the CSS code overrode anything placed in the visual editor since the image linked via the code was what I saw instead of the one on the visual editor. I was doing all of my editing via the code once I put it up there. I'll go now and see if I can make things match. (This actually is the theme I chose to test out different background images) OK.... I did as both of you suggested and took out both of those bits of code. It looks like this: This plugin is no longer affecting the background image. The plugin still works fine as always. YAY! While I'm here, I have one more question. I have the image up with the border that I'm tinkering with now. I'm guessing the reason it's not showing all four sides of the border is that my image is too large for the site. (I'm on my laptop doing all of this). I see the top and both sides. The image (via the visual editor) is set to fixed. When I choose scroll, so that I could view the whole image as I go down the page, the setting causes the whole image to expand even wider than my screen. I'm thinking, the only way that I can fix this is to resize and rehost the new image and use that link. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Either way, I'm already excited. I'm can't wait to try out new backgrounds and even go fix this code on my main sites. Thanks so much Kami and Tumbleweed

Skidjit: son of a gun my internet did a dumb and I lost my reply :c Anyway: the way 'cover' works is that it's supposed to accommodate for the user's resolution. quirktools.com/screenfly is a really good site for you to test what your forum looks like at different resolutions. If you look under the different desktop options, the background *does* adjust. However, it does seem that your background is a bit too large or something and the bottom bit is getting cut off. Compare the behaviour with that of the background on my test site that I linked you to previously. Could you link directly to the image or give me the size it is?

Compare the behaviour with that of the background on my test site that I linked you to previously. Could you link directly to the image or give me the size it is? i63.tinypic.com/biqqhh.jpgOh I know it's entirely way too large for a screen. It's one of those where you click it to see it full size. And in that full size, I brought up properties that show it's 1600 x 1200 pixels. That's why I figured I'd have to resize it down to get it down to a workable for a website. Honestly, I don't intend on using this particular image as a background image. That being said, I have some of the same things going on with other images that are also too large for a laptop. I'm just trying to learn HOW to fix each of them. (Maybe we should take this back to the other thread so we won't use up anymore of this plugin's thread. If anyone else is interested, we are going back to this thread about background images to fill screen. support.proboards.com/thread/591393/background-wallpaper-image-sizes-responsive ) For now, I'm going to go check out the link you just posted. Thanks Kami

Skidjit: a parting thought -- it's not the size that matters exactly, it's the aspect ratio. Most modern screens are widescreen, and the aspect ratio to this is almost square. The cover CSS doesn't skew aspect ratio, so it is covering the background in its entirety, if you had an aspect ratio that was 4:3 it would fit properly. Chances are though you have something wider and shorter, hence the cut off.

Jordan, Forum URL: casualgamersinc.proboards.com/I've got a member who has now just told me that he's getting an Error 32 with an Object ID 2. The best I can figure is that I think I had the Member Group he is in used to be set as Staff (that is no longer the case). Given that default key write is now Staff Only (due to a change on PB's end awhile ago), I'm thinking that when I turned his Member Group Staff option to No, this is now the cause of the error. I see the plugin is editable. If my theory is correct, it would just need a Write Permission added so it can be set to Members & Staff? Thanks!

Hey there! I'm trying to make one of the categories on my forum collapsible. I've got your plugin installed, but i can't for the love of me remember where or what I have to put in to make a category collapsible. Please help! I just installed it to see and the plugin apparently makes all categories collapsible just click on the category title to collapse/uncollapse. There's also a setting in the plugin configuration where you can specify that certain categories be collapsed by default when the page loads for the first time. It remembers the state you left it the next time you open the site so you would need to either clear cookies or view the site in an incognito mode to test if it is indeed collapsed for first-timers.

Chris Thank you! Unfortunately, that doesn't quite do the trick. It turns out that yes, although it works automatically, I've discovered that my problem is more specifically that it does not make the first category collapsible for me; only making the categories that come after the first collapsible. ):
