Hooray, it's working! Got 1.5.0 working by removing the other plugins and putting everything back to the defaults, then reinstalled Smilie Dropdown and it works perfectly. This of course means that I have to get to the bottom of which plugin was the problem. BTW Todge, I don't think I have ever thanked you for this and the V4 predecessor. The V4 version was just installed and I never thought about it again, other than adding a few more smilies a couple of times. So, thanks!

todge ive taken all the plugins out and reuploaded and it just doesnt work on my site
i want you to mod a copy anyway
1. take the drop down and link out of the pbs smilie drop down
2. make it so the smilies open in a new tab instead of a popup
3. just give me a url to the new smilie tab, you dont have to put it anywhere in the post page, ill add it to end of my ubbc drop down plugin later
with the link the plugin will just work since its a direct link i have in my post page

It seems Safari will not allow JavaScript to create and/or open a new window. The code, as it is, seems to work in the BBCode half of the posting page, but not in the Visual part. The windows opens and immediately closes again, so I'm not sure I can give you what you want.
I'll try, but as I've said before, if anything I write works in Safari it's pot luck, I do not and will not code for it, I find it way too frustrating.

if it doesnt work for safari i dont mind anyway, it worked in safari last time so its just a v5 thing? couldnt it open in a pop-up in safari and open in a new tab in FF and other browsers? i just find the new tab cleaner and easier to deal with, i personally never use safari. eton would know if you wanted to ask him, but if pop-up for safari and tab for other browsers would work or just disable it for safari then thats fine

I have installed the smilie code put in some of my smilies. I can click on them to bring them up but when I go to try to apply them to a post Nothing. It will not post the smiley.

Not having much luck but I think it is me..
I have been through this thread twice and am still not sure which code I am downloading..I have used the one at the beginning but notice that there have been changes....
I uploaded it anyway but I cannot copy my smilies from the V4 footers...
Can someone point me in the right direction please..
Thanks RF

The current plugin is in the first post of this thread.
Why can't you copy/paste your original smilie array over? Are you not seeing the parts you edit? Or is the code just not working?

Todge i had an issue but thanks to working with another team member here at support I got everything to work with one exception. How do we add the Titles to our smilies. The only way I got it to work is putting a smilie in smilie[0]
Thanks Chrissy
Example: Chrissy's Smilies

Yup, the array needs to start at [0] otherwise the code trips up when it counts through your smilies..
To add a title, just put that in the array instead of an inage URL, so, for example, if you'd like to make 'Chrissy's Smilies' a title at the beginning, then just
smilie[0] = "Chrissy's Smilies";
Just drop any other titles you'd like included in place in the array.
