Todge the plugin doesn't seem to work on my end. I logged out of my site then tried to see if I could save a smilie that in on my board and it let me save the image. I have the Block Who set for Guests and Members. chrissystutorials.proboards.com/

The code will ignore images less than 50 pixels wide, unless you specify otherwise. That is to stop the plugin from targeting the smileys.. If you want it to, change the minimum width to 1px.
But be aware that any image the code protects will be on a line of it's own within the post.

I just went to add this option, and realised it's already there.. The current version is 1.3.0, can you make sure you have that version, and in the plugin setting you can specify who you'd like the images to be protected from. Either guests, guests and members (not staff) or all.

Okay maybe this isn't the thing I was looking for. Sorry Todge I mis worded what I was trying to accomplish. This will prevent people from copying but they can still Right click and save the smilies to their computer. Is there anyway to stop this?

The biggest problem with trying to protect your smileys is that they need to be available for people to use.
You can make it harder for people to steal them from the posts themselves, but you can't do much about them on the posting pages, s they need to be available for people to use..
Are you worried about the posting page? And are all your smileys hosted in the same place?

Hey guys if you use this code it'll work.
Put the follow code here:
Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper
Put it next to <head>
<script type="text/javascript"> function catch_click(e) { if (!e) var e = window.event;
var right_click = (e.which ? (e.which == 3) : (e.button == 2));
if (right_click) { alert('Right clicking on this page is not allowed.'); return false; } }
document.onmousedown = catch_click; if (document.captureEvents) document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN); </script>

I'll look into the Image Security plugin and see if I can find a way around your problem.. As for your smiley not posting, I can see why it's not showing (it is now ), but can't explain why it's happening. For some reason part of your post was within [spa n] tags, which stopped the smiley from displaying as an image, but why those span tags are there in the first place, I know not. Do you flip from Visual to BBCode, editing in each? Sorry, Todge. I've been having problems with notifications. I never saw this post. In fact, I started a thread about my notification problems here. And I just posted a thread about the smilies and tags because of that span showing up once I post. And it changes point sizes as well. support.proboards.com/thread/472580/posts-changing-point-size
I use the preview editor here and I don't use any tags or change point size in mid post. It's odd. Were you able to figure out why my entire board was right click disabled with the plugin enabled?
