Request: 'Choose Rpg Character Code' to work in V5

What were the changes? I noticed we can have spaces now. (And yes, updating the plugin causes all data to be erased. So anyone that updates the code, then goes back to check the posts made by alters..all that is cleared out. Same with the info that was suppose to be saved in the plugin itself.)

I am a little confused why, when you go to the Profile>Alters spot their avatar is so large by default. I threw in some 100x100 images and it stretches them to 200 or 300 pixels square.

I am so glad that the search function works now.

When discussing this with others, would it be possible to allow people access to a css sheet for the mini-profile? That way you don't have to mess with it and a person can adjust it to match the template they already altered for their site. I am not too sure about how the plugin area works, but there should be a way to block out the portion of the code scripting the alias function while leaving access to the css part.

I can add CSS classes in there, but they will only style the MP, it wont be able to manipulate the elements inside (as in move around).

what Im going to attempt to do is setup a HTML box in settings, and pist variables like $[alter.displayname] that you can add into the html area. when the MP gets replaced it gets replaced using that template. just dont have that done (or started).

I fixed the spaces bug, as well as made it change author name in the last post cell on the home page (or sub-board page). thread listings still show wrong name because there isnt a post-id associated with tht last post. I made a request for that.

Throwing this out there quick.

When you go to the profile>alias page the avatar image size for those particular alts that are listed are so huge. You might want to change it to be 100x100 or a size the admin sets in the plugin.

Ok, can we get an area for member groups and custom titles?

I think that was about all that I noticed that seemed "bare" or missing. Other than that, the entire function for saving the "alts" between plugin versions works correctly now; boy does that make me happy. I started fiddling around with the custom mp aspect and it doesn't appear to want to save what I have even if I modified all the variables to match the current layout (with the exception of using the alters values.)

That has me a bit stumped but I might just be tired....

I might try that part again after I get a little rest. Can we use things like line breaks, hr...span styles...all that dejected fancy crap?

What about the thread/post activity lists? Will it be able to say the alts name that started a thread, or made the most recent post, or just the default member?

--- When you look at the "recent posts" it displays the alt name, but not if you view "recent threads" or have the thread come up through the infocenter.

At one point in time I seen the alt name show up on the infocenter listing out the members but then it stopped doing it. I was pretty confused since I didn't think it was suppose to do that. That is why I started digging around to see if it showed up in the most recent post/thread lists.

I am just throwing some questions out there.

the custom MP thing doesnt work at all. I was in the middle of doing the setup when you needed me to push out that last update, and rather then deal with modding 2 different versions, I just gave you a "teaser" version with the fix you needed. Im still working on it. but its basically going to work like the templates do if I can get it to work correctly.

it will basically be HTML with place-holders inserted in

recent threads didnt have the variable I needed to make that work. I think they might have pushed out an update this week though so I will check again.

I never had anything written to replace anything in the infocenter... it would way to difficult to track which alter was the last one to do a post in order to relpace in the IC

Im not sure member groups is going to work... they arent going to be able to manage groups on an alter. it would be a one or none kind of thing.
