Well, you gave me a workaround, so that's appreciated.

And it was driving me crazy, so you put it to rest. I was banging my head because I thought it was the same concept. But now I know it's a completely different approach in your color smear vs. gradient.

And I use Chrome, so it looks as it should there.

One of my members is reporting that in IE11, ColorSmear isn't working for the Board Titles in the Navigation Tree.

Hello!

I appear to be having issues with this plugin today, the main one which is that it does not work. I was attempting to apply the color smear in post, but the attribute does not apply. After reading over it I saw that it does not work in the correct version (correct?) so I was wondering how exactly I would use it in a post. Also, does the gradient work only left to right or can it be done top to bottom?

the part that doesnt work in the posts is the tray button. mainly because I havent got around to finishing the coding for it. if you manually type the tags into the post they work. at some point Im going to try and get the visual editor to work as well.

as for your question about direction, the color only smears from letter to letter.

Is there any chance that there could be an option for normal or bold added in? I know there's the styled member names plugin, but that only works for single color names, and the admin of the board who's asking doesn't necessarily want to bold ALL display names. Therefore, doing it via CSS isn't the way to go, either.

that will let you target a specific username. it uses the user's id number.

Yes, it works on the board descriptions, but not the members' displaynames...

No. No specific username. It seems to work for a while, decides to act up, then go back working. In other words, sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't.

Oh, but I see that it is still currently in its beta version...
