I can make it optional to not affect names in the shoutbox I guess. I cant really make it go any faster. it just scans names and changes them if there is a match.

Ah. I see. I think we'll stick with the older version, as it seems to work without any issue. Very unusual that it just randomly stopped working. Thanks anyway. I'll let you know if I encounter any further problems.

Im running 1.5.0 on my test board but all it has over 1.4.7 is a button in the editor for smearing (actually still not 100% working). Im not seeing any lag though when it loads the main page.

Oh wow. :/ I have no idea. I'm just so relieved I was able to use your plug-in (because I love it to bits) and have a fast working shoutbox again. It's so strange because I never had a problem with 1.4.7 until recently (when a script was running when it shouldn't be- but even when it was pushed, the lag remained).

I was wondering if your ColorSmear plugin supports more than two colors to "smear" together?
It looks like it is just two, but I was just making sure.
I am looking to create a rainbow effect username and was wondering if it is possible with this plugin.

well the basic syntax of the tags only account for a color on each end. however, there is a new mode called invertsmear. if you experiment with the start and end colors you can actually get some interesting effects.

Wanted to let you know, we installed this plugin and the invert smear is really cool! 
Although I don't think it produces the rainbow I was looking for, it still produces other rainbow effects and is really well made. We're using it for other gradient effects around the forum.
