Time restriction on modifying posts.

This plugin will disable the editing ability of posters, except staff members, after a set time.

The minimum time allowed is 5 minutes, so that members do have the chance to change or remove their posts straight after posting. This is a TOS requirement, so please do not ask for this to be changed.

Mods and admins are exempt, just click the go to the drop-down (top right of post) and select 'Moderate'.

Chris, you can select what categories/boards you want any plug-in to effect in the admin panel.

That doesn't give us different times per board/cat though. (And given a 40 plugin limit, it doesn't make sense to install a plugin 5 times to accomplish this.)

Great plugin Todge but I would have never thought to select 'Moderate' if you had not noted it here.

Just tried the 'Moderate' 10 minutes after my setting of 5 and it does not work.

Download v1.0.1.

Set the default time in the plugin as you would normally.

Now, if you want a different time on a different board, you need to put this in that board's HEADER..

As I updated the code for Chris, I put also disabled it for moderators too, so if you want the Edit and Delete buttons back for moderators, download v1.0.1

The code should prevent the deletion of posts after the time has expired. The only people able to delete or modify posts at all times are moderators and admins.

Is this not the case for you?

The code should prevent the deletion of posts after the time has expired. The only people able to delete or modify posts at all times are moderators and admins.
