I did notice that, and assumed you kept it as a test forum.
I'll try something else... Give me a couple of days.

Are you getting the same issue on those forums? Yes, in fact I was just coming back to edit my previous post to say that I tested it in a thread and set it to 50 minutes for both edit and delete and after 6 hours I was still able to do both. And I don't have as many plug ins there and only a couple enabled.

I have joined your test forum and created a post using FireFox, and after 53 minutes I can't edit or delete it.. So, it must be something to do with your browser.. Are you using the latest version of FF?

Are you using the latest version of FF? Ok, so it works on the test site, but not on the live site. I already eliminated it being a plug in, by disabling them all and still having the problem. so, what type of code might it be conflicting with that would cause a huge time delay, because as pointed out before it does seem to kick in about 16 hours later. Where do I start looking? This is all very weird. I keep ff updated and was using 34 something, but the most recent update allowed it to work on the test site. Codes I use are Add numbers to posts Add back to the top to all posts. It sits where the edited by stamp sits, which makes it so I can't use the hide staff edits plug in. chess color box around stats (should have no bearing) add country flag to mini profile hide shoutbox from guests (should have no bearing) keep guest fro viewing profile (should have no bearing) only the admin can see addy's (should have no bearing) To the Bottom button - sits next to reply button

It is all very strange..
From the list of codes, the only ones that I can see that may have an effect are...
Add numbers to posts To the Bottom button - sits next to reply button
For the simple reason that they both add content to the cells targeted by this plugin. You said that the plugin does remove the delete option but not the edit option? If that's the case then it's more likely to be second code.
Try deactivating them and see if that changes anything, if not, and you are willing to use a key, I'll make the necessary changes to the plugin.

It doesn't remove either one, until AFTER about 14 hours. I'll try adding the code to the test forum. I don't want to remove them from the live site. Todge its neither of those codes. The default theme already had those codes added when I went to add them. So they aren't the problem. I'm going to try adding the Back to the Top text in each post, code. We already know it conflicts with the hide staff edits plug in, so maybe it is conflicting with the time limit for edit and delete? Todge, ok the back to the top in each post code is the one causing the conflict. Figures, since it conflicts with the hide staff edits as well, which sucks.

OK, thanks..
Could you please leave a link to the plugin and I'll install it onto my test site to see if I can find a work-around.

Sorry, no.. I mean the 'back to the top' code that is causing the issue. This also conflicts with hiding staff edits plug in. Plug ins are a lot more convenient when you have lots of themes. I prefer plug ins over codes but sometimes there is no plug in. Problems occur when everyone tries to use the same spot. lol Go to Theme , Layout Template, Thread , Post list Find this section of the code: around line 34 or 47 {if $[post.edited]} <div class="edited_by"><span class="italic">Last Edit:</span> $[post.edited.date] by $[post.edited.by_user]{if $[post.edited.reason]}: $[post.edited.reason]{/if}</div> {/if} And replace it with this: <div class="edited_by">{if $[post.edited]}<span class="italic">Last Edit:</span> $[post.edited.date] by $[post.edited.by_user]{if $[post.edited.reason]}: $[post.edited.reason]{/if} - {/if}<a onclick="scroll(0,0);">Back to Top</a></div>
