Drop Down Nav [Library Support]

Would anyone be able to advise?

My 'How do I...?" dropdown links are shifting to the right after the first one ("Join the Forum?"). I want them all to be aligned with the first one.

My settings for that dropdown are like this (Join the forum has a no-break space in front of it to give a touch of padding to the dropdown menu):

 Join the forum?|link|_self
Post on the forum?|link|_self
Make a character?|link|_self
Get involved in a plot?|link|_self
Start a plot?|link|_self
Impress a dragon?|link|_self
Adopt a character?|link|_self
Contact an admin?|link|_self
Become staff?|link|_self

The same is also happening in the "Links" dropdown, which has the settings:
 Solariapedia |http://solariapedia.wikidot.com|_self
 Solariapedia2 |http://solariapedia.wikidot.com|_self

Edit: Okay, I fixed it myself after some fiddling!

What I did was put in a 'blank' option before all the rest, like so:

Join the forum?|link|_self
Post on the forum?|link|_self

I suspect it's something in the CSS of the theme I'm using, but I can't figure it out. Fortunately, this fix seems to have worked!

Hi I just got this plug in not long ago, I just set up some test links which worked great. How ever I went to delete those test links & add more & some reason they still show the old links & not the new ones, I cleared cache & cookies

Try _Self with a lowercase 's': _self - the HTML may be case-sensitive on that.

Stupid question, and I apologize if I missed the answer skimming the previous 30 pages, but how does one get the drop down to go away without reloading the page?  When I hover it appears, but I have to refresh to get it to go away.

I put in a temp fix by making all the nav buttons dropdowns (with nothing to drop) so hovering over any other button kills the drop down. Unfortunately it now requires a double click to open a button on the nav bar.

Is it possible to make the drop down nav visible for "guests"? In the permissions, I enabled it so that "everyone" can view the plug-in, yet it only appears if you are a member of the forum.

How do I get the 2018 Season, Players and NRL Ladder to drop down from 2018 Season button? Sorry, but it would help if Proboards had a step by step manual with pictures.

Can you tell me what links and text you want in the drop down menu? And I’ll give you an example of what it should look like in the settings.

EDIT***   I'll leave the original post below but I'm sorry I wasn't diligent enough to look at and experiment with the style tab more...  I guess had to select  the default theme before any of the background color settings had any effect.   All is well now.

it appears that my drop down menus are hidden because the menu text is white and the hierarchal  navbar has a white background... Here is a picture showing my third menu item ("Track and Field News") showing up below the nav bar with the other two menu items being invisible.  And sometimes there are ads in this space which further obscures the menu text.   Shouldn't the drop down menu have the same background color as the menu bar?  Am I missing something?  Do I need to select a different color theme to use this?   I hope not.
