Shout Box Sound/Beep On Post And New Message

This sounds like the shoutbox isn't refreshing. If there isn't a new post then the shoutbox doesn't auto refresh. If you make a comment then the auto refresh begins to work. (or you can press the auto refresh button on the shout box to make it start working, though this only lasts a certain amount of minutes (2 ? ).

It's possible but it's not something that I'll be adding to the plugin. Some people don't like sound or they're checking in at work. It should really be a choice for the user if they want the sound switched on.

Is it possible to make it so you can adjust the volume of the sound in the plugin? Not sure if it is but I know one of my members likes the sound I use but the volume makes them jump

Hi,
Not via the plugin. The volume is determined by the computers volume settings. You could recommend they turn their volume down on the computer!

xD they don't particularly want to do that hence asking if there was any way of doing that (Normally they're listening to music and the like at the same time)

I could add a button for 'Low Volume' to the plugin. Let me have a think about it...... I'll post back here with something for you to try in the next few days, when time permits.

Okay that sounds good! Let me know - I know that c-box uses something that allows it to give two volumes and mute. Loud or quiet so I'll wait

I went a bit over the top and added a volume bar!

Save your settings from the old plugin and there are a few more to input in the new one.
You can have either button or both (I think one is less confusing)

The volume bar can be clicked on, dragged or moved with the arrow buttons on your keyboard.

It's not the final version but just wanting it checked out and tested first.

This is a great plug in, thanks.  Is it possible to make it sound even if you are in another window, like Facebook notifications?

Even if you can't it's still great.

just, a stupid question: is there any way to change, perhaps editing the CSS, the red colour of the volume bar's handle?
