(Oh, and the main admin's username is always "admin"). If you are going to take over the main account, to simplify things, just get him to change his email address to your email address in his profile. Unfortunately, the birthdate cannot be changed.

As there is no way to merge accounts on Proboards, it would probably be easier to use your current account for posting and stuff, and use the admin account for things you cannot do with your account, such as modify groups. If you were to simply take over the admin account, you would be taking all of the original admin's posts, so then it will seem like you wrote them...which can either be bad or good.. Let's just hope that v5 (years away) has a merge account function.

Ok so if I am understanding this correctly, there is no way to change the owner/admin of a board? That seems like a major oversight to me? People leave all the time, if my admin has to leave the board will die? So is there anyway to open a new board and have the content of my current board transferred over?
-Chad.

It is possible to transfer ownership over by simply changing the email address. A new password will be generated and sent there. The only thing that cannot be changed is the birthdate. The main admin's posts will look as if the new owner posted them however.
