Hello, I've tried to find out how I can limit the powers for a moderator on a particular board.
I have created a board, the moderators are myself-admin and moderator. I'm trying to allow the moderator to be able to have advanced moderation, ONLY FOR THE board that he is the moderator. So far, I have only been able to get him access to bump the threads. No other moderation functions appear for him.
Can somebody explain exactly where to go to allow the moderator admin functions, BUT ONLY where the board they are the moderator for.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think that's what they mean. I have the same problem on my forum.
My moderators (for certain boards) don't have any moderator options. The moderator group is set, all this is ok. Then if I change their group (from their profile) and select moderator, they become moderator EVERYWHERE, not only in the board they were supposed to.
I don't know what to do, I need help.

Hmm, forget it, I will manage something, by creating groups like: Regular Members Mod Elite Members Mod etc... Very sorry if my question caused headaches Hmmm, I just figured out something.
Moderators used to be in a group (let's say called regular members), group who had access to only certain places in the forum. They could still be moderators without being 'staff'.
Now I am facing a problem. I do not want my moderators to be staff, I want them to keep their group (again lets say regular members) so they won't see all the rest of the forum that are not visible to them. Because if one mod is a regular member, and another mod is elite member, they both should not have the same access in the hidden category, but by having to select 'moderator' in their profile, it puts them on the same level access.
In the previous version, it was working fine with my needs. In this version, I cannot find a way, it seems. My mod have to be staff and this is royally not suiting the need of my forum which has hidden category.
Does anyone know if a script was written for this? or if there is a way around?
