I tried this version and yes you can see 'personal smilies' on the profile there is no way to add them

I can't see how I install this on the forum, the library still says the old version.

And the link wants me to download, and then what do l do?

Right,please ignore my last posting, have worked out what to do and it is now installed and working properly on the forum.

Can now add/delete in settings again.

I'd be surprised if Personal Smilies and Thread Icons plugins conflicted with each other, but I'll take a look..

Nope.. Have installed Thread icons onto my test forum and both plugins are working fine. Can you please tell me why you think that the two plugins cause conflicts?

The version in the Library is still 1.2.4.  When I click on the link in your post I'm quoting, it wants me to sign up for dropbox.  I'm confused....

The file is on dropbox. When the popup appears there should be a decline button on joining that will allow you to download the file anyway (:

Go to the manage plugins page (admin > plugins > manage plugins) of your admin panel. At the top of your plugin list there should be an "import plugin" button.

Crud. I did that and now I've lost all the smilies that were in my dropdown. I CAN now see them in the Settings tab of my Profile. But they aren't appearing in my smiley menu dropdown any longer. Sad...

Oh, and I did use "Update" in hopes of keeping things the same.

Now what?

Sorry, this is beyond my area of expertise as I have never used this plugin -- all of your settings should have crossed over if you chose to keep all the data in addition to selecting "update". I'll defer to Todge.

Hey, you got me farther along than I could have on my own. I kind of think this is a bug. But hopefully Todge will set things right. I appreciate your help, and as well as Todge's!

Ahh..

If that happens, just click 'Set Changes', that should refresh the Personal Smilies box, allowing you to then add smilies.

I had already done that. It appears my profile part is working fine. It's just that none of my personal Smiley's are showing in my Smiley drop down box now.
