Forum URL: http://.proboards.com
Hello there, can someone help me please with a bit of a dilemma I have concerning the promotion of bootleg material on Proboards?
Basically there is a Bittorrent site for a major band which provides links to unoffical bootleg material, but at the same time the site is sanctioned by the author of that material. The site also periodically provides material directly obtained from and fully sanctioned by the band/author. So as you can see it 50% breaches Probards T.O.S., and 50% most certainly doesnt!
Obviously I don't want to have my board closed down for breach of T.O.S., but even though the site in question provides unofficial material for download, can I still publicise it on my board if I only do so to promote the fully legally sanctioned material?
Thanks in advance for your answer, sorry if it's a bit of a confusing question!

If you can directly link to material which is legal, such as the torrents, you are fine.
Linking to a site like that as a whole with illegal content on is grounds for a TOS violation

Also ensure the torrents you are linking to are in fact legal. There are an increasing number of legal torrents, but many are still violating copyright
