After disabling my drop down smilie plugin (by Todge)as that appeared to be the problem all seemed well but just now as I was amending my News feed and went to go back to the Home page the Ajax warning popped up again. I have XP and using IE8. I have no plugins installed so that can be ruled out angelsdesign.proboards.com/

Hi, Lainey2712. You might've navigated away while the "Saved!" message was still there. If you wait for it to go away completely, does this still occur?

Well didn't that time but even when I had the plugin installed it didn't do it all the time. If it does happen again I will add to this thread rather than start another

For the record, plugins don't affect the functionality of anything in the admin area. It's completely separate from everything else on your forum.

I was told the plugin was a problem previously when it was causing the same problem in general posting

As long as it said it saved it should be okay to navigate away from the page. This seems to only happen when you have two yellow boxes at the same time. It doesn't really break anything. Again, I can only reiterate what I said previously. The plugin only affects the forum side of things. The admin area is unaffected by any customizations made on your forum, and therefore cannot be affected by a plugin.

No problem for me in PM's but I get the pop up message EVERY time on my site and so are my members . I am losing members over it because neither they or myself get it in any other site we visit that is not hosted by Proboards.
EDIT
It didn't happen when posting this message so it would be nice if all other Proboard sites could be free of that annoyance just like this one is.

I know others were getting them, too, but I never had a problem . . . until now. Until this, I'd never even heard of Ajax ~ except as a cleaner!

wmmyoung, I popped in to check on your plugins and did note that you have Todge's smiley dropdown plugin installed and enabled - I just wanted to mention that a few of our members found that disabling that provides relief from the errors. Until Todge can provide an updated version that doesn't prompt the AJAX problem, this is unfortunately the only solution.
♥ ℒʊ√ ♥, which forum is giving you the error? Until this, I'd never even heard of Ajax ~ except as a cleaner! On a lighter note, we have a bottle of Ajax dishsoap here at the office. I like to think whoever bought that did it for the comedic value. Cleans dishes real good too.
