Jump to Bottom and Back To Top Links in Messages/Pm's

Now I know it can be done. A friend of mine has them on her board HERE

She put them in message list in the layout template feature. She uses arrows. I tried it and while my arrows showed only the up arrow would work and not the down. I really don't care for arrows but would prefer to use the text found in the V3Colours Theme used here on Proboards Support.

I would prefer it possible to have the To Bottom Link beside the reply button and the up/down text in the message boxes.

Hi, spiceelicious.

You can follow the same steps in this thread, except the changes will take place in Structure > Layout Templates > Conversations Page > Show Conversation. Change the code inside the title bar div to this. (look around for $[conversation.subject] to find this area)

To add them to individual messages, click on the Message List tab and add this after the line that says <td class="foot">.

Finally, add this to the bottom of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet.

.post_jump { float: right; font-size: 11px; }

Wow Brian, you are awesome thanks. I managed to and yay me get the back to top text in without screwing things up. Everything is in place except for the down text doesn't want to go down.

As I said in my previous post, just replace the same section of code in Structure > Layout Templates > Conversations Page > Show Conversation. In the event you make a mistake, you can always reset the template.

I did but the down text still won't take you down.

I've fixed this for you. You somehow removed a <li> before the reply button.

I was so careful to copy and paste too. Ok, you are going to think I am a complete blond ditz, but when i click the down text nothing happens.

I've updated the code in my post little by little as I've gone to fix things. It was originally outdated.

If you follow the steps in my post again it'll work next time you do it.
