member's email adress

Hello there quick question, how do I view a member email address on proboards v5.

It used to view member email adress on proboards v4 can you tell me how to do it on proboards v5?

alright thanks, but anyways do you know where I can type an IP adress where I can see if the member is using multiple accounts?

If you view the member's profile and click on the icon, then hover over their IP, you'll be given a sub-menu with different options to search by. Clicking any of these will search for entries on your forum from the respective menu category made by that same IP address.

You'll see it by April 29th at the latest, but it should be added before then Have a look at profiles now on your forum

I may be dumb but as admin I can't see any email addresses apart from the ones that were added using this code from Brian. Has the added code somehow interfered with the updates?

By default only forum staff can see your email. But you can adjust this by visiting your profile then click the "Edit Profile" button. Then on the edit profile page, click on the "Privacy" tab. This will give you other options if you want to share your email address with more people

I can confirm that the email addresses are working on your forum. Keep in mind that for the moment though you'll only be able to see them in a member's profile. They should be included on the members list for those that have the ability to see email addresses at some point in the near future

Sorry to be a nuisance and to appear really dumb (it isn't difficult) but I've been through every tab on several members profiles and I still can't see any email address apart from my own (with the new visibility options). I've cleared the browsing history, run Ccleaner and rebooted but still no emails. Which tab is it supposed to show up in?

It shows on the main profile page when viewing a members profile. May I ask which account you're logged in with? -- nevermind that question, I see the issue now. It looks like you have some template modifications, so the update wasn't pushed to you just to ensure nothing would break for you. I have gone ahead and added in the necessary code to your profile layout templates so you should see the email addresses now

Many thanks and yeah I can see them now. I wondered if it was due to the mods I added a couple of weeks ago in regard to the emails.

Well this is embarrassing.....

I've just gone to do some checks on newer members and I've realised that emails for members in the range mot-testers.proboards.com/user/178 to 182 don't show up.

Is it possible that the code I added a few weeks ago to allow our members to display their email addresses if they wish to has somehow affected the new update? If so, I'll happily delete the added code and let yours do what it's supposed to. The code I added came from here and also from here.
