Copying over HTML stopped working in Preview!

Brian, thank you for that tip.  It will save me a lot of headaches. When my forum is switched, I know this is going to be their number 1 complaint. Big time.

Because of the venue of my group, this feature is used on a majority of posts.

Using Safari I couldn't suss out how to switch between tabs whilst I had it selected - I had to open two browser windows side by side to do it - but I'll keep experimenting

I don't care for the change either.  When I paste a document from Microsoft Word, it pastes as one big blurb of text - no spaces or anything at all.

To anyone who happens to copy content from Microsoft Word into the Preview window: there is a kind of hacky 10-second solution to this problem that can be found here.

Brian, this is a total disaster. As far as I can see, the BBCode tab - which you can set as default anyway - got round the problems that anyone who would have complained could have complained about

That aside, I've set up areas that rely on people being able to copy/paste from blogs and other sites. This just blows it out of the water. My users and myself actually thought this was one of the best improvements of V5. I honestly can't believe you've stopped it

Hi M³ I've updated that thread with some more info. The meeting happened and the change remained but, there is a solution - if you go to that other thread there's the link to Brian's workaround on page 2 of the replies in this thread
