Random admin notifications popping up

2) What happened, in detail?

One of my global mods has reported that he only gets a notification bubble on his admin tab and he is taken to the Admin Control Page.

3) What do you think should have happened instead?

He wouldn't (or shouldn't) have any admin notifications, only personal
profile ones. The forum isn't set up in a way that admin notifications
would be required but if they were surely they would go to all staff?
Seems like his bubble is hovering over his admin tab instead of his
profile one and because of that it's taking him to the admin control
page.

4) Can you reproduce this on every pageview?

Yes, as the notifications are always at the top.

5) What browser, version, and operating system are you using?

He's on Win 8  IE 10

6) Please attach a screen shot (JPG or PNG -- not GIF or BMP) if it is relevant

Is this still occurring? Admin notifications do exist (for reported posts for example). All staff should see the notification if they have notifications turned on.

It didn't happen for him today, but he's keeping an eye on it. There were no admin notifications to any other staff members, nor were there any entries in the security log which would require an admin notification. The only notification I get from the security log are when new members join and they show up in my profile notifications. I haven't checked with the other staff if and where they see the new member notifications.
