Forum URL: dirtovalracing.proboards55.comIs there anyway to override the mandatory activation for member wanting to join your board? I have several people who haven't received their codes or they can't find them. Why is ProBoards set up to require the activation of a member to your board, shouldn't you be in control of this function? I ran a board that let the admin decide to require an activation or not.....or the admin could sign anyone up they wanted and activate them instantly. Other than telling my members to get a hotmail or yahoo mail account, what can I do?

No, there's no way to override it. The ProBoard just needs to make sure the member has a valid email address, or certain features don't work right. As long as your members don't use AOL they'll have no problem receiving the email.

You can't do anything else other than making sure their emails are from decent providers. Sorry

The old system involved having a randomly generated password emailed, still requiring an email. At least this way you get to choose your own password from step 1
The problem is email providers blocking the email as spam, not PB failing to send the mail
